You know when you meet, or even talk to, someone for the first time and it feels like you have been friends for a long time? That’s how I felt meeting Marissa and Braxton in person for the first time at their session (that turned into something more). This Rocky Mountain couples session turned into Rocky Mountain National Park engagement photos when Braxton popped the question!

Marissa and Braxton were such down to earth humans. They met on Tinder, but get this: They went to the same high school together! Because Braxton is 4 years older than Marissa, they didn’t run in the same crowd. These two are such driven people, as well. Braxton is a pilot and Marissa is an aesthetician (she just graduated!). They are two successful individuals pursuing different passions all while supporting the other. That’s truly what relationships are all about!

The Moraine Park Proposal

When we arrived at Moraine Park in Rocky Mountain National Park, Marissa was putting finishing touches on her outfit. Braxton casually pulled me aside and told me there was a surprise coming by the end of the session. That is all we had time to share, but I knew that meant a proposal was coming. Marissa wasn’t positive that he was getting down on one knee, but she had a sneaking suspicion. It made the session extra special because normally, I do all the prompting throughout the whole session for how to pose to capture your love. Towards the end of this session, I knew it was Braxton’s time to shine so I backed off a little and let him steal the show.

He proposed with a gorgeous, temporary ring to take the place of the real ring just until it came in, COVID delays amiright. Regardless it was still such a special moment for the two of them. I mean go take a look at Marissa’s expression when she realizes what is happening, you’ll see it is written all over her face! It was an honor getting to photograph them for this session that turned into Rocky Mountain National Park engagement photos.

Now that they have been properly hyped up, go take a look at these gorgeous Rocky Mountain National Park engagement photos.
