Emma + Reed are the sweetest couple. Their Sapphire Point wedding was such an amazing day. It may have been cloudy + rainy, but their love shined through all the clouds! Let’s chat about Sapphire Point Overlook and Emma + Reed’s love story before we dig into their stunning Sapphire Point wedding photos.

The Sapphire Point Wedding Ceremony

Emma + Reed had a pretty intimate wedding. They had their ceremony at Sapphire Point Overlook, but had a lot of their other big moments elsewhere. They had some special touches to their ceremony, including a ring warming. The rings were passed to each guest to warm the rings with a wish, prayer, or good thought. It was so sweet! The clouds during + after their ceremony were moving so fast behind them. It made for such a fun background for photos since every second the clouds were changing.

If you’re interested in having your own Sapphire Point wedding, you’ll need to make a reservation at Recreation.gov. Reservations can only be made 6 months prior to your event date, and they are for a 2-hour time block. Your reservation means that no one else can have a wedding ceremony during this time block, but keep in mind there is a trail that people can still walk around right by the ceremony spot.

One of the benefits of having your wedding at Sapphire Point Overlook is that it’s a guaranteed location and it’s close to Breckenridge. Breckenridge is one of my most favorite Colorado mountain towns for its cute downtown area and majestic mountains close by. Emma and Reed chose a modern VRBO to get ready in and also hold their reception at. In between the ceremony + reception, we took their portraits at Officers Gulch. They also ended the night at the VRBO with a sparkler exit and it was super cute + romantic.

The Sapphire Point Overlook Couple

Emma and Reed are so kind + charismatic. Their love was so adorable, electric, + undeniable. When asked what they are most excited for being married, they said, “We love the anticipation of marriage and knowing we will be together forever!” How frickin’ sweet, right? They seriously are the coolest + cutest couple. They lived in Hawaii for a few months together. It’s actually where they got engaged!

As a photographer, I can encourage you to interact with each other naturally and give you prompts in order to do so. However, these two would be loving on each other without me having to give any prompting. That made for the most special photos that undeniably showcase their love. It was an honor to be part of their intimate wedding day in Breckenridge + Sapphire Point.

On their Sapphire Point wedding day, it rained ALL. DAY. LONG. but these two didn’t let it phase them and the best part – their guests wanted to do what made them happy. If that meant sitting in the rain for their ceremony or getting poured on during wedding party photos, they did just that. The rain made their Sapphire Point wedding photos that much more emotional + intentional!
