Camp Hale in Colorado is the perfect venue for couples looking to have a stunning mountain wedding. Located just 15 miles outside the popular ski town of Vail, Colorado, Camp Hale is a wedding venue in the ideal location. It’s close to a picturesque mountain village but also feels beautifully remote because the White River National Forest surrounds it.

One of the reasons Ashely and Chris chose to get married at Camp Hale is because Chris loves to fly fish. They even did a little fishing during cocktail hour, and caught a fish! He was super involved in choosing photo locations around the property, and he even had a fish flask he wanted to make sure to capture in their couple portraits. Typically, the bride is the one who is most excited about photo locations and wedding day details, but this time, it was the groom! Ashley and I kept joking that “It’s Chris’s day; we’re just living in it!”

Fun fact: “Camp Hale is the former training grounds for the 10th Mountain Army Division. After serving in World War II, these soldiers returned home and initiated the Colorado ski industry, including Vail Mountain. This rich and historic land offers an unforgettable setting for a mountain wedding like no other.”
