Molly + Vlad are some of the best people. Their love for one another was radiating from them on their wedding day. Vlad was the most charismatic groom I’ve ever photographed, and I loved it! They said “I do!” at one of my favorite Colorado wedding venues, River Bend wedding venue. Molly+ Vlad took the venue and truly made it their own. Their day was all about them + their love, which made it that much more of a special day. I can’t wait to share more with you about M + V and this stunning Colorado wedding venue, so let’s dig in!
I love River Bend of Lyons Farmette! It’s one of my favorite venues in Colorado. Not only is it a gorgeous backdrop for your ceremony, it’s a blank slate that you can really make the space your own. There’s a gorgeous cliff that I took Molly + Vlad to about 5 minutes away. We had the best time being on the edge of the world, photographing really sweet, intimate moments.
This venue is truly unique compared to others in Colorado and it’s featured in my 30+ Best Colorado Wedding Venues. You can head over to that blog to check out more about this venue + others. It is an acoustic venue, so keep that in mind for your reception vision! Molly + Vlad had a small band for their first dance but did dance the night away after dinner + ice cream. This might not be the venue for you if dancing to your favorite loud music will be a huge part of your night! You could always consider doing a silent disco which is a huge wedding trend as of 2022.
Molly + Vlad are polar opposites and a perfect, balanced match for each other. They currently live in NC, and flew to Colorado for their wedding. It only made sense they had a Colorado wedding because it’s their favorite place to travel together! Molly even said, “My favorite travel in general is when we go to Colorado together because we get to spend time with my family and friends and the mountains. I feel like I’m sharing a piece of my heart with him.”
The best part of their wedding was that they made it truly their own. Molly brought so many antique/art nouveau-inspired things from their home for their wedding decor. Talk about a unique wedding, right?! The vintage, boho rug aisle was so stunning. What’s even more unique about it is, now they get to use those rugs around their house and remember their perfect day every time they walk over them. Instead of a cake, they opted for an ice cream truck, and it was a HIT! I mean who doesn’t love ice cream? They had so many unique touches to their day, which made it was so special!
Molly + Vlad were such a fun couple to capture on their day. You could visibly see just how comfortable they were being their true selves around each other. They described their relationship as this: “We’re continuously growing and remaining curious about each other while allowing the other to be fully themselves and honor their inner child.” This was so true when Vlad wanted to channel his ability to scale on the side of the rock cliff, and Molly just watched, and let him be his inner child.
I think that is so dang beautiful! Exploring with your lover is one of the best things. Whether it’s scaling a mountain or going to a new restaurant, always keep exploring with your love! Being able to learn, grow, and become your true self in a relationship is truly what it’s all about. I loved getting to capture Molly + Vlad + their love!
