This colorful summer garden wedding in Colorado will give you all the romantic and whimsical summer wedding inspiration! From the venue’s beautiful mountain backdrop to this couple’s creative wedding day details. This wedding day was filled with all things vibrant color, happy wildflowers, and fun summer vibes.
Izzy and Kyle’s wedding took place at Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons, Colorado. The venue is an outdoor-focused, blank canvas space. So it’s the perfect venue for a DIY bride, like Izzy, who wanted a whimsical garden wedding!
Both Izzy and Kyle are incredibly talented and creative. Their wedding day included lots of personal touches to make it feel unique to them. Izzy is a DIY queen and created most of the wedding day details herself. As you scroll though their photos, you’ll notice their cats are the stars of the details – from the welcome sign to the cake topper! Kyle is a tattoo artist, and his creativity showed from head to toe in his wedding day attire. He had the coolest wedding style, including a neck-pin instead of a traditional tie paired with the most unique velvet shoes. Another way they included personal elements was during their ceremony. They incorporated some unique cultural influences from each side of their backgrounds – the Mangala sutra and Celtic hand-tying.
This whimsical garden wedding was not only beautiful but filled with the most fun energy. The wedding party made every moment of their day so fun! One of the coolest moments was when Izzy’s brother and dad played a song during the reception just before the dance floor opened. Her brother played piano while her dad played guitar and they both sang. It was a custom rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin” – they changed lyrics to be completely about Izzy and Kyle but to the sound of Don’t Stop Believin. It was super impressive and everyone was singing along!

Before the wedding, the entire wedding party and their parents took shots. This group was filled with so much energy and fun vibes, just ready to celebrate!
They honored family members who had passed in the sweetest way. The groomsmen walked down the aisle holding picture frames of family members who had passed and then set them on a table up front near the altar. It was one of the most unique ways I’ve seen a couple remember loved ones who they wish could have been there in person with them on this special day!
After walking down the aisle, the bridesmaids added their bouquets to this beautiful, greenery-covered garden arch. It was such a unique way to repurpose the bouquets and add to the whimsical garden wedding vibes! I loved this concept!

In true Izzy and Kyle fashion, they ended in the night in style with this fun reception attire! How cool are they?!
