Luxury Cabo Wedding at Montage Resort
This timeless Cabo wedding was one of my favorite days I’ve ever captured! Every moment and detail from this day was an absolute dream. Cabo has quickly moved to the top of my list of places for destination weddings. After reading this blog, you’ll understand why! And maybe even be ready to book me to capture your Cabo wedding!
Katy and Zach live in Oklahoma, but they love traveling, so they always knew they wanted a destination wedding! It was an easy decision to get married in Los Cabos, Mexico, since Katy’s family is from Mexico. But years before this extravagant day (4 years to be exact), they were set up at the gym by their trainers (who also happen to be married to each other). And the rest is history!
Now, to share more about this documentary-style wedding day…
One of sweetest moments of the day was during the ceremony. The pastors daughter and another guest surprised Katy and Zach by singing “The Blessing” by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. One of them would sing the lyrics in English, and the other then immediately after would sing it in Spanish. It was such a beautiful moment of worship and blending of cultures. There weren’t many dry eyes in the audience! This is one moment where I wish I was a videographer, because it was beautiful to hear their angelic voices singing a blessing over their marriage and future with God at the center combined with the waves crashing on the not so distant shore.
As far as the rest of the wedding day, every luxurious detail was planned to the max! Including a custom-built bar, florals running down both sides of the aisle with a majestic floral arch, a delicious 3-course meal from Montage, cake cutting with sparklers set off behind them, a custom dance floor with their initials, and soooo much more! You’ll be in awe after scrolling through their photos below.
But even in all the extravagant details and stunning design, what stood out the most was the love and genuine connection between the two of them. It was truly a celebration of love felt by all who attended their wedding day!

Montage Los Cabos Resort is an incredible venue for your Cabo wedding. A quick break from their wedding photos to share about how much I love this venue!
For the venue itself, I was obsessed with the modern design and architecture. Everything on the resort property is a short distance away which makes it easy to walk between wedding weekend events. Katy and Zach hosted their Welcome Party here the night before too – you can read about that here!
Not only is the resort beyond aesthetic and beautiful, but the entire staff was so hospitable, helpful, organized, and on top of it all. Plus, the most obvious benefit is that it’s right on the ocean! So you hear the ocean waves at the ceremony stop but it’s the perfect distance so it’s not overwhelming loud and distracting.
