Book It Student Wins: $9K in 3 Days, $40K by Feb, $69K in 3 Months, + More

If you’ve been showing up, putting in the work, and still wondering why your photography business isn’t booking the way you know it should – this episode is going to feel like a deep exhale. Not because I’m going to hype you up or tell you that it’ll all work out if you just believe hard enough. But because I’m going to introduce you to six photographers who were right where you are – inconsistent inquiries, relying on referrals, questioning whether the right education even existed – and I’m going to show you what happened when they stopped hoping and started building.

Since I started tracking student wins in 2025, Book It students have collectively submitted $3.7 million in tracked results. Not cumulative since 2022 – just this year alone. And in this episode, I’m breaking down the stories behind the numbers: $40K in bookings by February 13th, $69K in three months, $9K in three days, weddings booked while running errands, and a business that finally works without them having to be glued to their phone every single day.

The numbers are exciting as heck. But what’s underneath them is even better.

Listen to the episode below, or keep reading for a summary of what’s covered.

Why I Started Tracking Book It Student Wins (And What $3.7 Million Actually Means)

I started tracking student wins because I wanted real data. Not just warm, fuzzy testimonials — but actual numbers I could point to when photographers asked me things like: How quickly do students see a return on investment? What does the actual ROI look like?

What I found? $3.7 million in collective wins tracked in 2025 alone. And while that number is genuinely wild to me, it’s not what I want you to walk away fixating on. What matters is the why behind those numbers — and the fact that these photographers were not outliers. They were not uniquely gifted, uniquely located, or uniquely lucky. They were working hard the same way you’re working hard. They just needed the right foundation.

I’m sharing six of their stories today because I want you to recognize yourself in at least one of them. And when you hear where they are now, I want you to feel that quiet certainty that this could be you — not as a feel-good tagline, but as an honest reflection of what I watch happen inside Book It over and over again.

Kaleigh + Michael: From “Good Stats” to a 9.4% Conversion Rate and $800+ Package Raises

Kaleigh and Michael (@tankersly.photography) joined the VIP tier of Book It — which includes additional one-on-one support, my Meta and Google Ads trainings, and an ads intensive — because they had a specific goal. They were already running Meta ads. The stats were decent by industry standards. But they didn’t know how to optimize, and they weren’t booking the clients or venues they actually wanted.

What shifted was foundational. They didn’t just tweak the ads — they rebuilt the strategy underneath them.

Their conversion rate went from 2.6% to 9.4%. For context, industry standard is 1–5%. Anything above 8% means your messaging, copywriting, and offer clarity are doing serious heavy lifting — especially for colder ad traffic. Their cost per lead dropped to $27 per qualified wedding inquiry, compared to a reasonable industry range of $100–$200. A retargeting ad they launched had only been running for a week when their first inquiry came through — a destination wedding with a budget of up to $10,000. Their highest budget inquiry ever.

And while all of that was happening on the ads side, they also hit $30K booked for the year by their second month in the program, raised their packages from a range of $4,200–$6,500 to $5,000–$8,500, and started booking their $6K middle package — plus add-ons for up to $7K — within days of updating their website with the new pricing.

That’s an $800+ raise across every package, with bookings following immediately after.

When Kaleigh reflected on the experience, she said their business had completely changed — every single aspect — and that they finally knew how to attract aligned inquiries instead of just hoping for them occasionally. Their goal now: more income, fewer weddings. A business built on purpose.

When your foundation is working, everything compounds. That’s what I’m watching happen for them in real time.

Claudia: Mindset + Strategy, Full-Time Photography in Two Months, and a $34K Transformation

I want to take you back to Claudia’s application for a second — because there’s a question in it that still makes me smile. She wrote: “Is the price of the mentorship worth it? It seems like it is, but it’s so high and I just want to make sure I get my money’s worth.”

She’s brought in over $34,000 since joining Book It. I’ll let you answer that question.

When Claudia (@claudiahazelphotography) applied, she was getting ghosted. She wanted more bookings. She wanted to go full time. She didn’t have a clear connection between her brand and the clients she actually wanted to serve. From late December through mid-January — her first weeks in the program — she had five or more bookings and made over $6K in about a month. In February, she made over $7K and officially went full time. Also in February: she bought the new mirrorless camera she’d been wanting. Both of those were on her 2026 goals list. Both happened in her second month inside Book It.

Then in mid-March, she shared a new win — three bookings in a single week, a new record she said had never happened for her before. Her words: “My business is literally everything that I have dreamed of.”

But here’s the part of Claudia’s story I keep coming back to. She said her mindset was a huge reason her business took off. She celebrated every small win. She practiced affirmations. She worked through what was actually blocking her. She reminded herself that rejection is redirection. She did the internal work alongside the external strategy.

Strategy without mindset can only take you so far. Mindset without strategy leaves you spinning. The combination is what created $34K, a full-time leap, and a record week for Claudia. She has the tools now — both the strategy and the mindset — to keep going from here. And that’s what I love the most.

Katie: A Complete Business Rebuild and $40K Booked by February 13th

Katie (@kdhuntphotographyllc) was not new to photography education. She’d invested in another well-known coaching program in the industry. She’d had four years of experience and solid bookings. But when her ideal client shifted and her pricing increased, her inquiries dropped significantly — and the previous program had given her a lot of “do this, do that” without the how.

She was hesitant to invest in Book It because she’d already been down that road. But something felt different. We talked through her application together. I could see from the outside looking in that there was so much she wasn’t implementing — not because she wasn’t trying, but because she’d never actually been taught the foundational strategy behind it.

Katie didn’t tweak a few things inside Book It. She rebuilt everything. Her brand, her website, her investment guide, her workflows. She went through the pricing module, ran her numbers, restructured her packages around the life and business she actually wanted — and then she sold from that place. From service. From confidence. From knowing.

By February 13th, she had $40,000 in bookings for the year. Her words: “I pretty much have a new business now, all thanks to Book It.”

If you’ve invested in education that didn’t work, please hear this: that is not evidence that you can’t grow. It might just mean you haven’t found the right foundation yet. And what’s beautiful about Katie’s story is that she has that foundation now. Her ideal client will shift again. Her pricing will raise again. And she has everything she needs to navigate both — not just for the three months of the program, but well after.

Karmen: From $20K in a Full Year to $69K in Three Months — and Quitting Her Day Job

Karmen (@kncaptures) started photography in 2020. The most she had ever made in a full year was around $20K. She was working in tech. She didn’t know how to make photography a full-time business.

During Book It, she raised her base package by over $1,000 and continued booking at the same rate. She went from three weddings booked for 2026 to 25. She had an $18K week during the program. She turned down 40+ inquiries because she had hit her wedding cap. She made $69K during her three months in Book It — compared to $20K in the entire 12 months before joining.

The timeline breakdown: she joined in October. By November 30th, she quit her day job. In December, she made five times what she would have made at that tech job — and for the first time, she wasn’t scraping by. She was living. She went to Japan. The feast-or-famine cycle was gone.

Karmen also started with my Discovery Call Script before joining Book It. She used it on one of her first inquiries, booked that wedding entirely over the phone for the first time ever, and that’s when she knew Book It might be the real deal. She’s more introverted. Calls felt uncomfortable. But the script gave her structure — and structure gave her confidence.

Her review said: “Claire isn’t just teaching theory or trends. She does the real research. She deeply understands buyer psychology, messaging, and how clients actually make decisions. And that’s what most photography education completely misses.”

Karmen didn’t have a huge head start. Her lead source had completely dried up. Book It changed everything.

Logan: Booking $8K Weddings Without Discovery Calls and Actually Living Her Life

Logan (@Mrs.ferreephotography) is a Book It alumna from the early days. She’s also been through Scale It and recently completed a four-week one-on-one intensive with me. I included her story here because I want you to see what’s possible years down the road — what life looks like when the foundation has been working for a while.

She’s booking $8K weddings without discovery calls. Her website is so clear, her positioning so intentional, that couples are moving through her funnel and booking without ever needing to get on a call first. Her business is working while she runs errands. While she’s fully present at hangouts. While she’s not glued to her phone.

She shared: “I don’t feel the compulsion to work all weekend. I can be present at hangouts and not touch my phone. My business is helping me get in a better pace of life I want to live.”

That is the whole point of building a business that works harder than you.

Nicole: $25K in Two Months, SEO She’d Never Used, and a Contract Delivered Poolside

Nicole (@nicoleandcophoto) came to Book It after starting with my Discovery Call Script. She knew the script was helping but needed more — specifically, more inquiries. She was relying entirely on referrals from one photography friend. Her words on the application: “My inquiries are non-existent.”

Within one week of Book It, after implementing the brand positioning work in Module 1, she had two organic inquiries. Not from a magic wand — from implementation. She made $9K in three days with a 100% conversion rate using the email templates and call script. A couple weeks later, she had four inquiries in a single day, booked three out of four discovery calls, and one bride was ready to book before they were five minutes into the call.

She raised her prices by $500 weeks into the program. Then she tackled SEO — something she’d never done before — and had two Google inquiries come in with no ads. One booked within 24 hours of their call. She delivered the contract while lying by the pool.

At two months in, Nicole is at $25K. She’s a mom of two littles. And she said something that really landed: “Work feels rewarding again. Everything is working for me instead of against me.”

She has a full month left in the program. I genuinely cannot wait to see where she goes.

What the Numbers Are Really About

Here’s what I want to leave you with: the numbers are real (I’m literally @ing my students so are confident there aren’t any made up results here – not in my world), and they matter. But they’re not actually the point.

The point is Claudia closing her laptop after a record week and feeling like her business is everything she dreamed of. Karmen quitting the job that wasn’t meant for her so she could actually live. Nicole delivering a contract poolside, not because she was grinding, but because she built something that works without her. Logan booking weddings while running errands because her website did the selling before she said a single word on a call.

It’s the quiet that comes when you trust that more is coming. When a slow week doesn’t spiral you. When you can say no to a wedding that doesn’t feel right — not because you’re being picky, but because you know another one is on the way.

That’s what a life-first photography business actually looks like when the foundation is built.

Key Takeaways

  • A strong business foundation makes everything else compound — ads, pricing, SEO, and sales all work better when the strategy underneath them is solid
  • Mindset and strategy are not separate — Claudia’s $34K came from doing both simultaneously
  • You don’t need a huge head start to see results inside Book It — Karmen came in with a dried-up lead source and made $69K in three months
  • Your website should be doing the selling before you ever get on a call — Logan and Nicole proved this in completely different ways
  • SEO is a lead generation avenue most photographers haven’t touched — and it can change the game (Nicole got two Google inquiries in two weeks with zero ads)
  • If past education hasn’t worked, that’s not evidence you can’t grow — it might mean you haven’t found the right foundation yet

the photography business coach who still shoots weddings...

shocking i know!!!!

My photography business wasn't always the plan. If you know anything about how tough nursing school is, you don't just put yourself through that hard work for 2+ years to then quit. But that's exactly what happened for me. I loved pediatric trauma nursing in a lot of ways but it also left me feeling so empty.

Maybe you can resonate with that - loving your career but it also leaving you empty.
I knew something had to change so I began pursuing this passion for photography without any real plan.

Within 3 months, I was able to pursue my photography career fully and I haven't looked back once. In my first full time year, I made over 100K. In my second year and beyond, I've brought in multi six figures. Let me be clear in saying that I don't tell you this to brag. In fact, I hate money talk (shivers).

I do tell you this because if I believe anything to be true, it's that you can find this same success too. Since 2022, I have packaged up all of my tried and true knowledge into education, mentorship, podcast episodes, resources, freebies, and so much more because I care about you and your business. I want to help you quit that career that's leaving you empty and grow your business with bookings from premium clients.

OR if you're finding yourself losing the love for your photography business (I've been there when I booked 30+ weddings), I want to help you scale so that never happens again.

There's something here for you, so stick around and come say hey on Instagram (@itsclairehunt) while you're at it.
